Happy spring!! My Queen of Night tulips have just blossomed and I just planted a bunch of lillies and gladiolas that will hopefully bloom this summer.
My happiest news is that I'm halfway done recording tracks for my new cd and plan to have it finished by the time camp starts at the end of June. Please stay tuned for updates and release information.
I hope everyone is enjoying this delightful season!
2010 so far

I just finished another great semester of classes at the Passim School of Music. It's been an amazing year so far with many different classes.
In addition to my guitar classes at Passim, I taught a songwriting class with an amazing group of people. It's a class for people who've never written a song or have just begun and everyone's "songwriting faucet" is open and flowing.
Also since the fall, I've been singing with a play group at the Zelma Lacey House, an assisted living center in Charlestown. Parents and their infants to 2 year olds come each week and we sing and dance along with the residents. The little ones are SO CUTE and they make us all light up with joy.
I've also been invited to lead chorus at Zelma Lacey House and we had our first session this month singing everything from "You Are My Sunshine" to "Wild Thing" and of course we included some Elvis!
I'm also adding more and more performing dates which I'm really enjoying. The first week in March, I'm the feature act at Tatiana's in Lynn at a spoken word open mike. Later in the month I'll be performing "Free Fallin'" as part of a Tom Petty Tribute Night at Passim.
I hope everyone who visits this page is well with much happy news of your own <3 Janet
Fall 2009 Update

October 1, 2009
It's been a busy and fun season so far with an increasingly full teaching schedule and several concerts.
In addition to my private students and classes at the Passim Center School of Music, I've now begun teaching a guitar class at Shady Hill School as part of their arts electives program for 7th and 8th graders. Shady Hill is an amazing place and having the opportunity to teach there feels like winning the lottery for me. I have a class of 6 seventh graders who are a friendly, motivated group.
I kicked off my fall concert season with a benefit for Bread of Life at the Church of the Nazarene, the site of the monthly open mike I co-host with Howie Newman. I was also invited to feature at the Cantab and had a fun night there as well.
I'll be posting information for a house concert that a friend/student will be hosting for me in November.
